CCHS Counseling

I am a long- time English instructor and part time counselor at CCHS.  I received my public education in Clay County Schools (Maysel Grade School, Valley Fork Elementary and Clay County High School), and my Bachelor of Arts degree in secondary education at West Virginia Institute of Technology (now West Virginia University Institute of Technology).  My Masters Degree in counseling was earned at The College of Graduate Studies (today known as Marshall University College of Graduate Studies). 

I have taught at every level of education from elementary to graduate classes, and I became a full time counselor in 2008, upon the retirement of Mr. David Wayne. 

I believe that the students in Clay County schools are the most polite and easiest to work with students to be found anywhere.  I wouldn’t dream of working any place else!
